This year's fall minis were such a success, thanks to many new & repeat families. I cannot thank you all enough for supporting my passion, means the world to my family & I! I hope you enjoy.
Back in October I reached out Mikaela asking if I could capture some sweet moments of her & her family. I have always been inspired by Mikaela & Amber's love for each other & their true, authentic style, quite frankly I wish I could put together outfits like Mikeala & see the world as artistically as Amber.
During their shoot I gave direction on how I wanted them standing or where to look, but beyond that their passion for one another came naturally; it was 100% genuine. I can't thank you two enough for going on a little river adventure & allowing me to snag a few special moments of you & your sweet babes.
As the 2016 wedding season began to wind down I felt as if I was just getting started. I was wanting to push the boundaries of a typical wedding. With the urge to move away from the blush colors & the gold finishes, I began my hunt to find the perfect location for a styled shoot. I was looking for a space that was raw, unrefined & quite frankly a little beat up! I wanted the space to bring its own character, I was also looking for a spot that provided lots of natrually lighting. With the help from Page Price, the owner of The Rural Society Flowers, I was able to find an old photographers studio from the 1800's in Mt. Vernon, Ohio.
The chipped paint, floor to ceiling windows, exposed brick & the dirty, unfinished floors inspired me to move forward with this styled shoot. My mind kept stearing towards deep accent colors with the hope of finding an over the top gown, a gown that spoke for itself. That's when I fell in love with an Ian Stuart gown called "Wanderlust" from White of Dublin. It. Was. Perfect.
With the incredible talent of The Rural Society Flowers, designer of all the floral pieces, Hayley Brooks, creative behind the invitations, Lauren Passauer, the fabulous wedding cake creator & the genuine couple, Nikki & Dustin Kelch, the Dark & Romantic Styled Warehouse Wedding came alive. I hope you feel inspired.

When Allison's mother contacted me to photograph her 11 year old daughter who was in point shoes as a ballerina, I was so excited. What got me even more excited was the fact that The Ohio State fair was beginning in just a few short days. A young ballerina amongst colorful rides that take you back to childhood, what could be better (other than a mouthful of cotton candy!)?
Thank you Allison for such a fun & memorable shoot!
